Abstract photography, work done entirely in-camera, is a dance with concepts. It’s an ever-present search, an awareness of what’s around me that transcends the representational, crossing over into areas of the mind. The elements of design, shape, line, rhythm, texture, and color combine in some way to suggest (at least to me) extra-pictorial content.
Abstractions
Photographic abstractions seek to break the link between the photograph and the three-dimensional subject to express some essence of design, thought, or emotion.
